The Oregon House today passed HB 2700. This bill expands the definition of “applicant” for removal-fill permits relating to linear facilities like energy transmission, transportation and other critical infrastructure projects. Simplifying the process for permitting linear facilities was a theme heard in Oregon Business Plan meetings with regional business, economic development and elected leaders across the state in 2010. The bill now goes to the Senate for consideration. Click here for a staff measure summary of HB 2700.
