The Oregon House today passed HB 2700.  This bill expands the definition of “applicant” for removal-fill permits relating to linear facilities like energy transmission, transportation and other critical infrastructure projects.  Simplifying the process for permitting linear facilities was a theme heard in Oregon Business Plan meetings with regional business, economic development and elected leaders across the state in 2010.  The bill now goes to the Senate for consideration.
