Oregon Business Leaders, Senator Wyden Announce Statewide Bus Tour (8/6/04)Bill Thorndike, Chair
of the Oregon Business Plan (OBP) Steering Committee and U.S. Senator Ron
Wyden, Chair of the OBP Leadership Committee will launch a statewide bus tour
on Monday, August 16 to hear from business and community leaders from across
the state and to provide an update on the Oregon Business Plan. On August 16–18, Thorndike and Wyden, along with several members of the OBP Steering Committee, will make stops in Medford, Klamath Falls, Bend, Eugene, and Newport. On Monday, August 23 and 24, the tour will make stops in The Dalles, Pendleton, La Grande, and John Day. At
each stop, the Oregon Business Plan team will partner with local hosts,
including Chambers of Commerce, to hold forums focused on building
partnerships among local and statewide efforts to create more quality jobs in
our state. Results and feedback from each meeting will help shape the agenda for the 3rd Annual Economic Leadership Summit to be held in Portland on December 6, 2004. The OBP Team will ride the Oregon Business Coach courtesy Associated Oregon Industries (see picture left). MEDFORD
