Oregon Industry Clusters

Oregon's economy is driven by companies that ring up sales outside of Oregon, bringing in fresh dollars that support familes and, in turn, government services.  We call these companies "traded-sector" because they sell their products and services globally.  Traded sector coapanies tend to cluster because they draw competitive advantage from their proximity to competitors, to a skilled workforce, to specialized suppliers and a shared base of sophisticated knowledge about their industry.

By identifying our traded-sector industry clusters and paying special attention to their needs, Oregonians and policy-makers have a way of thinking about how to grow our economy and create more high-paying jobs.

The pages on this site were developed in collaboration with representatives from Oregon's industry clusters.  They provide background information on the cluster, describe who is involved, and lay out initiatives that will position the industry for continued growth here in Oregon.

Not all of Oregon's traded sector industry clusters are profiled on this site.  If you are part of an Oregon cluster and would like your industry to be included, contact us. nadj;fklajdf; ladf;kja
